What have you set for your resolution or goals for the new year.

Mine are working on exposure when I am shooting and learning more about my pp software. Also working to get better photos from my cell phone.

I am away from home for the long weekend and did not bring my laptop. For some reason I cannot get my phone images to attach.

Let's see what your goals are and show us some examples.

Thanks for hosting,Irene! For me, I just want to improve by doing more photos with my camera and my phone..I also use my iPad on occasion...

I'm game to try new stuff and enjoy trying new apps-I do want to work more on photo shop...

Not the best photo but look who showed up outside my window today! Promise of Spring!

Eliminating camera shake. Just set up a string pod. If that doesn't work I will invest in a monopod. I will post a few shots at slow shutter speed as a test.

A year ago my goal was to learn my photo programs . I made progress in that department . But since both came out with major upgrades I signed up for a class series on both. Isigned on for OnOnePlus program which offers 1:1 coaching and photo critique. Also bought their Ultmiate Lightroom program and finding both are very helpful. My goal is to finish the course and weed through all my images. I have joined a FaceBook page for State of Maine Photographers and find it inspiring and wonderful for ideas right around this area of Maine. One participant posts fantastic stars and star trails and has future plans, this spring to teach a workshop on shooting and processing star photos. I'd like to take that class. Photos are on another computer, so will have to post another time. OH - and I got a new Nikon so plan to read through the manual again before the Phoenix Palooza.

1. Scout within a 1 1/2 hour drive radius for some awesome landscapes. Easy in the Pacific NW.
2. High Dynamic Range Photography. I've never tried it and would like to.
3. Work on studio lighting techniques for pet photography.
4. Increase knowledge of how exposure, aperture and shutter speed effects and hopefully aesthetically pleases me with the photos I take this year.

Sydney started out very under exposed but LR helped restore the photo. Would I have blown out her highlights if I had shot with the correct exposure? This is some of the problem solving I would like to learn.

A great goal....one many of us struggle with. Wondering, what is a string pod....possibly a remote?

Pat, you always carry out your goals and then move on even further. Your photography displays that. I'm sure we will see some more great work by you.
