Trump and Putin is much less dangerous than obama and Putin.
obama is crapping on everyone in his path on his way out.

obama has to be one of the worst presidents in the history of the world. He does have record for creating the most debt with his vacations on the taxpayer dime. I'm surprised he hasn't collapsed us yet !

"obama has to be one of the worst presidents in the history of the world."

No, that's George Bush who owns that distinction.

Donald Trump is old enough to have seen the devastating effects of nuclear weapons used at Nagasaki and Hiroshima so probably knows as well as anyone else on the planet about the consequences. Simply saying we have nuclear weapons does not indicate his willingness to use them. Also you seem to forget America's system of checks and balances. Trump doesn't get to simply wake up one day and push a button to annihilate another country. Try to relax and give the new President a chance without having a conniption fit.

I hope your really not serious, given who's on the horizon.

Serious as can be. Look at how we are regarded by the rest of the world today compared to eight years ago. The present administration has alienated almost ever country except for those sending their emigrants here as illegal immigrants. Since the recent United Nations fiasco, apparently engineered by the US, I'm not sure anyone likes us anymore. We can't get rid of the mess in Washington soon enough.

Meanwhile back in the USA our military has been decimated by the current administration.

Time for another hunt for "Red October".

The government since 2010 has been under a budget sequestration set by a Repuplican congress

Just not true. We've tried to extricate ourselves from the insane messes we made in Iraq and Afghanistan. Military budget still tremendously huge.

It may be high, but NOWHERE NEAR that of (unsuccessful) attempts at the "War On Poverty" and other crap that these politicians come up with (try "foreign AID" to our enemies)

If you want to talk politics, there are places where people are interested and, in my opinion, this is not the proper forum. By the way, for those interested, the campaign SOAP OPERA, is over, now for the second season which is ongoing with the same political hacks and talking heads.

Your opinion notwithstanding, this particular forum is "General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk)". If you would like a discussion on depth of field, apertures, shutter speeds, IQ etc, there are plenty of other forums on this website to discuss those topics. This forum is open for alternative topics, political or otherwise. If there is a thread on here you have an issue with simply move on to another, but what is proper or not in this forum is not for you to decide.

Fortunately, Trump has said that he wants to increase our nuclear stockpile because 7,100 nuclear weapons isn't nearly enough.

Hi Jerry: It has nothing to do with the quantity of nuclear weapons, but their age. The Russians asked for and received permission under Obomers watch to replace aging nuclear weapons with new ones of the same capability under the treaty. They are doing so. We on the other hand, have done nothing. It has been documented that in our missile silos, for example, a lot of communications doesn't even work, do to the age of the equipment. This administration has again done nothing to help the military. Today it was announced that the incoming administration wants to rebuild the Naval fleet to enable it to deploy approx. 320 ships at once, as a rebuild of the fleet.
