Looking for advice regarding continuous focus in the Olympus OMD5mk2.
Have been very pleased with the Olympus OMD5mk2 and a variety of lenses after switching from the full size Canon gear.
The only negatives for me have been battery life and using continuous focusing which does not seem to track a moving subject as much as I would like.
Have tried the several tracking modes with minimal success. Anyone have a similar experience or advice? Much appreciated.

I have tried continuous focus with basically the same results with my Canon t3i. It really doesn't seem to work that well.
Unfortunately that camera is not well suited for tracking, unless it is a slow moving object. If you want very good tracking, the new EM1 mark2 is your only choice right now. Visit the EM1 mark2 FB group to read what actual users are saying
Thanks for your replies. Appreciate it.

C-af is a known weakness of Olympus...em1 is better due to the cd/Pdaf on sensor, and the em1ii is in a whole other class level (on par with some DSLR cameras).
I'd love to trade my em1 for an em5ii or pen-f now that I have a em1ii.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am thinking of buying an em1ii. Do you think it is worth it? What would be gained compared to the omd5mkii? And, what is your opinion of the new 12-100 pro? Much appreciated.

I posted a few of my thoughts in this thread:
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-431625-1.html#7254820As to the 12-100...it sounds like a great lens the only downside to it is the f4 aperture for indoor work and it's size. If size isn't an issue (about equal in stature to the old 4/3 12-60) and you other faster lenses, I can see how this would make for a great all around lens. It appears to be very sharp though out it's range. I'd buy one, but I have other lens priorities first. I'm sure some day/year it will make it into my stable of lenses. Perhaps once they hit the refurb market. I love the fact that it is weather-sealed.
