Some have asked to see the resolution of the EM1ii high res mode. This is my first time using this feature (previous camera didn't have it) as well as the first time taking the em1ii out of the house to break it in. I had to reduce the image quality a bit as the native jpg resolution was too much for this site.
DH Day Barn, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
EM1ii 75mm ISO 64 1/640s f3.2 (I should have stopped down a bit more) High Res Mode.
10368 × 7776
Looks like I'm standing on the road looking right at it. In real time.
One other item of note...there were 20-30 mph winds today, so I'm sure the tripod wasn't totally still. Either way...I'm quite the happy camper.
What other improvements have you experienced?

CD, it looks fine on my phone, but then again even things taken with my phone look great also.
So why do you have to be in HR mode to shoot HR? Why doesn't it just shoot HR all the time? Does it really slow the camera down?
My guess is that the algorithm has to take the native pixels and break them into smaller squares then reassembles them connecting the lines how the computer thinks they should go.
You should try shooting a rainbow. I find rainbows to be one of the hardest things for digitalis to handle, especially when printing and probably for up-reding too.
What is the native Rez and what will it go to? Is it kind of like up-rezing a file to print it bigger?

As advertised...SPEED...holy crap. C-AF is much improved. It's like having a machine gun back in my hand...Low Burst is crazy...and then there is high burst which is nuts...and then there is electronic mode, which will fill a card in a flash @ 60 fps. Love the new shutter sound. More mpx, gives a bit more room to crop or defish.
Almost forgot...Image Stabilization is even better than the original EM1...which was no slouch to begin with.
Here's a few more from today (non-high res):
Wow that tree stump is crazy detail.

In HR mode, you have to be on a tripod and be shooting fairly static images. It takes 8 shots, shifting the sensor around and then combines it into one big-assed RAW file. It's not up-rezing. Native size was noted in the original post. I'll be on the hunt for some rainbows, but those won't likely show back up until around late april/may.

That's just standard resolution ;-)

Ahhh, so it sounds a little bit like mini-stitching?

That 75mm is sharper than my dear wife's tongue; just got my new M1 and can't wait to save up and hang the 75 on it.... sounds and looks like the mark II is a winner.

It's my favorite lens, perhaps of all time. Then again, I haven't shot with the 150f2 or 300mm.
