Good luck with your sale. I use mine all of the time. The auto focus is much faster than my 200-500 Nikon lens. I don't find the weight a problem, but I use a tripod almost all the time.

For any of you interested in a durable long lens, this is a good investment, without breaking the bank.

Good luck Don I would not be in a hurry to give it away either. You don't have to feed it or take it for walk so it can sit as long as you wish with out any trouble.

Thanks Neil. I'm NOT in a hurry to sell it. If I don't get close to what I'm asking, it can sit in my photo closet forever. I'm NOT taking a $5-800.00 loss on a flawless lens and accessories, just because some one else "did."

Dad once said, "Just because some one else jumps off a bridge, DOESN'T mean I have to!... What are you stupid!" He was a "smart man."

Thanks Bozsik. I have used it on my Manfrotto tripod AND monopod mostly. Handheld it's NOT bad for a quick shot, but I can't hold it steady for a long period of time.

It is a bit heavy. I have used it hand-held, but I will sit down somewhere and use my knees for support if it will be a longer wait time, or use a monopod.

Hi everyone, I still have the lens and after a bit of a hiatus. The wife had 3 left knee replacements in 18 months. What a mess. I'm starting to make more time for my photography. Lens is still available for a reasonable offer.

Also have a 35' Regal Commodore FOR SALE. The wife can't get on the boat anymore. Oh Well.!

Missed being here.!

Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your wife's problems. Ain't it a bitch when our warranty runs out?
