Good luck selling it Don. I had one and it was super sharp. I bought it for Bird Photography and lost interest in Birds. I sold it here for $1300 to a UHH. Good luck.

Yes I saw your sale Stan. I can't imagine why you would sell it so cheap. But, that's your business. Merry Christmas.

As I think I mentioned before, there will be many used of these for sale when the owners realize the size and weight management issues ......

I never thought asking someone why they were selling was a "silly" question- if someone is selling something makes me wonder what they don't like about it- especially with a high end lens that they probably did a lot of research before they bought. Good luck.

Don, It is the reality of what it is worth. Check out what they are going for on Ebay or KEH. You will see that it it not in the realm you believe.

Thanks Stan. Most of those adds do NOT specify USA or Gray market. But I agree with the fact that the price "fall-off" is there. It's ridiculous if you ask me. Should I NOT get a reasonable offer I will just keep it, because "if" I boxed it up, people wouldn't know the difference between this and a new one. It is that clean. It even smells new.

Actually the "reality" is,....The manufacturers hype the crap out of these items and six months later they are selling for 2/3 of what we paid for them. I'll never buy new again.

Mine was like new also but I kept reducing the price to where I found a buyer. It did no good sitting in my camera closet. Yes, they hype alot. People then suffer from GAS. Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

It is your lens Don. And you get to sell it for whatever the hell you want. I've never understood why people with absolutely no interest in buying feel the need to chime in. A fair price is whatever a legitimate buyer and seller agree to. They are always welcome to counteroffer by PM. If not interested, then move on by. Just my own personal pet peeve. Good luck!
P.S. Try Fred Miranda forums.

Hi Don,
I remember back awhile we were both trying to sell our Sigma 150-500.I did sell mine but missed my close up shots of all the birds so I purchased a 50-500 Sigma from KEH at a great price last year.I sure wish I had the money to purchase this lens,I would.I am going to wait a few months & try & find a used Tamron 150-600 & then sell my 50-500.Good luck I hope you sell it.One thing I have learned here when I have sold my lenses, always sell it for a little less than eBay does & you will have no problem selling it!

Very DUMB. Apparently YOU didn't read the posts! I asked my question BEFORE this information was posted. Please, if you're going to criticize, at tne very least, get your facts straight! Oh, by the way, Happy Holidays!

Thanks Mike.....I couldn't agree more with you. BELIEVE ME! It was Christmas and I didn't feel like going "OFF" on anyone. I haven't been "on" here much lately and the forum sure has changed. For one there are too many thin-skinned opinionated folks around(here and all around this country) that don't know when to mind their own business.
