Dave,
Each of these of these is a beautifully constructed image...but number one is a precious gem without price!
the tonal relationships are incredibly refined and stated..not over stated...not understated...it is as a stream flowing into the Enchanted Garden.

And yes, Dave, they all worked incredibly well for...well..you know...

Dave

Thanks Dave. That 'enchanted' feeling is common to that part of Devon in fact, when my wife and I first found the lodge park we stayed at, we did say we'd found heaven! Soppy but true.

Would love to see no3 given your treatment.

2 & 3 are good. No.1 should be on the Countryfile calendar.

Love them all, but I found the last the most interesting. Very relaxing and peaceful.

Love all of these, Dave! The lush greenery of #1, with just a hint that autumn is on the way, the fun over-the-shoulder look of the walker and the trotting dog - perfectly positioned under the canopy of some pretty cool-looking trees; and #3 - great feeling of depth and sense of the moment, again just a hint that autumn was upon you, super mood with the fog, additional element of interest with the sign post.

I hope you'll post a b&w of #2. It will be a completely different story and will be fun to compare.

Not sure I like the b&w - probably a poor bit of pp as I'm not up to it today. As compensation, another colour shot as well, sister to no1, just a little further along the river.

I'm not as fond of the B+W. To me the blacks are a little strong and detract from the soft feel. Love the 2nd, however.

Hi Judi, I don't think the b&w is what Linda had in mind. I should really have started again rather than simply convert. Thanks for looking, Dave.

Dave Chinn first mentioned so it would be fun to get his take. I've pm'd you mine and will post if you like it. I know we're taking way off original topic intent now, though.

Nice work on all these--the fog photo (the last one) is my favorite.

Love this additional color shot of your river. Bright, lush and inviting.

More I look, the more I like this version. If they get snow down there (a rare occurrence) I shall nip down, it's only two and a half hours away - plus snow-time!
