It's been a few years now but when it first put the ferries out of business ferry capt's were proud to point out that they never closed for bad weather.

Outstanding set of images of this amazing bridge. I loved the download of each one, but for favorite I am picking the last one. Super composition and beautiful light in this one.

The Mackinac (Mackinaw for some) Bridge is an awesome piece of engineering and is a magnet for me. I love the thing but at five miles from end to end and with a see-thru grate road deck @ just under 200' above the water more than a few people are hesitant to drive across, and Bridge Authority drivers will drive your vehicle across for you.
