Nice pictorial story telling. I am imagining there is a bird carcass at the base of the wind vane, which brought the unfortunate flier down, and everyone wants a piece of 'im.

Canon SX60. Despite the zoom range, most of these are heavily cropped because I kept finding myself at the wrong focal length at the wrong time!

Thanks for viewing!

1. Mostly hidden in the gully, just the eagle's head is visible as it attempts to protect the choice carcass.

Linda,
Nice catches well documented through the eye of the lens. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your comments, so glad you enjoyed! I wondered about something larger, like a deer having been hit by a car and then dragged up there by coyotes.

Thank you, Vicki! I am so lucky, aren't I? I went up that road because I could see a bit of snow had fallen (higher elevation than surrounding area) and wanted to get a "winter" photo. And there they were!

Great captures, Linda. You were definitely in the right place at the right time.

How are you liking your sx60 after using it for awhile?

Thank you very much for your visit, Ellie. I have only used it for about 4 outings, but I'm enjoying the viewfinder and have figured out how to to edit the jpgs for best clarity (I have the shortcut button set to toggle between jpg and jpg+raw.). Thanks for asking!

Thank you, Donna! It was totally right time/right place; my only thought had been, I think I'll drive up that hill to the pretty vista turnout because I see there is some snow on the ground up there."
