I purchased this camera about 1 year ago. Now I am having a problem with slow shutter speed no matter what shutter speed I have set. I have approx 12,500 pics. Looking for help of what I can do about this. Thanks for your support.

Is the delayed timer accidentally set or are you actually not seeing the metadata agree with the set shutter speed?

Your are correct. Someone or I changed one of the menu settings. I changed it back and now everything is working as usual. Thank you very much for your reply. Happy shooting and have a great holiday.

I will not bother to mention some of the fine accidental settings I've mastered!

Enjoy the holidays!

Congratulations! You actually answered a question. Didn't know you had it in you. Will miracles never cease? Now try to build on this experience, if you can.

This is what I like about UHH. A quick reply is better than wasting time trying to find the solution in a manual.

That's what frightens me. But good job nonetheless.

Me either. I love that camera. I think it is destined to become one of Nikon's icons. Geesus that sounds good: Nikon's icons.

In retrospect, I would have bought the D7200,but I have no regrets.

I did buy the 7200 and have no regrets. I mostly appreciate the noticeable increase in dynamic range and reduced noise, especially in low light or high ISO situations. In those circumstances it outperforms the 7100. But when light is good, I would be hard pressed to discern one camera from the other. The 7200's deeper buffer does not really matter to me.

The buffer on the 500 doesn't matter to me,but the focus system is a definite plus. Now I just need to get focused.
