Well, CONGRATULATIONS ! ..........but I hate to inform you - " closer to pocket size" does not absolutely mean it MUST be pocket size !!

Did I anger you somehow? I was pointing out that the RX10III had already been rejected by the OP. Were my words too strong? Or offensive?

I kinda think that my D500 without the battery pack and any light & small lens, such as a 20mm/2.8D, makes a really nice point-n-shoot. (I AM being serious here!)

Looking for a point & shoot camera that has the best features such as best image quality, super zoom, image stabilization, view finder, etc. Does anyone have information they can share with a preference

I keep a P&S in my bag as a backup to my film camera, it's a Ricoh GRIII. Now long in the tooth so very affordable but a great camera. Super small and good image quality for everyday stuff.

Maybe we are not on the same page.

In post #5 "mas24" suggested a RX10III

In post #6 "James56" suggested a RX10III

In post #9 "margedederbeck" wrote "I already have a Canon camera with a long lens but am looking for a smaller "point & shoot""

On my page, that means the OP, margededbeck, does not want an RX10III because he/she already has a big camera with a long lens.

Of more significance, margederbeck is a newbie on this forum joining only a couple days ago with few posts and seems to have gone elsewhere!

I need to replace a LUMIX DMC LX 7 which served me well, preferably with a viewfinder. Any suggestions?
