Al, go with the Canon T6i. Not because the others won't do as good, or better job, but because of WHAT you might replace that T6i with down the road.
The Canon system is immense at every level. That's why more Pros use it than any other system.
Allow yourself unlimited growth!
You can't do that by putting a BULLET in your foot!!!
Good luck with your choices!

Hey Al...Do not under any circumstance, consider any other brand except Canon. Not because the other brands won't do a better job, but because that's what SharpShooter shoots with. If it sounds like SharpShooter is a little obnoxious in his praise for Canon...that's only because he is. Canon will offer you unlimited growth and prosperity, but best of all...SharpShooter shoots with one. Don't let SharpShooter catch you buying any other brand!

I agree.

BTW, if you Google "Canon T6i versus Canon 80D" or any other combination of cameras, you'll find a number of different websites that have lots of details, maybe even a deeper review, lab tests and sample images from both models.

Captain Al

Or you could get a Canon M5 mirrorless.... which is smaller and lighter, and can be used either with extra compact EF-M lenses or (via an adapter) with any Canon mount lenses you've got now or get for your T6i.

I've got high hopes for the M5, it appears Canon finally "got it right" with mirrorless... or close to it.

Being a Canon guy myself I think we both know you can't go wrong with Canon.

I own Canon
I also own Sony a6000.
Since you know what it is like to use your Canon DSLR, I'll note the positives of the Sony as compared to the Canon: Smaller size, fast focusing, and great dynamic range, good in low light situations.
However, the small buttons and menu system is terrible. Not intuitive after coming from Canon.
I did pay nearly $400 for Metabones adapter to use my Canon lenses on the Sony, but I would consider that an extravagance to marry the two systems.
