Are you asking for suggestion on how to sell your old equipment, or are you asking for help deciding which new platform to acquire next?

If you want something that is like a modern version of your XSi the the T6i would be good. If you want something smaller, lighter, or different the others would be good choices. How many lenses etc. do you have? That could tilt the balance.

I had a Canon 50D and after 5 years or so was not happy with the image quality. I replaced it a year ago with a Nikon D7200 and I love it. My wife had a Canon T5i, and we just replaced that with a Nikon D5300.

Al, go with the Canon T6i. Not because the others won't do as good, or better job, but because of WHAT you might replace that T6i with down the road.
The Canon system is immense at every level. That's why more Pros use it than any other system.
Allow yourself unlimited growth!
You can't do that by putting a BULLET in your foot!!!
Good luck with your choices!

Of those three...either the a6000 or em10ii, especially if you are looking or small and fast. If not go for the old dog canon.

Captain AL - T6i !!!!!!!!!! or actually you may be ready to upgrade from a Rebel to a big boy camera.... how about a 7dmii or 80D.. But if not, the T6i is awesome. I know many will argue this point, but the DSLR is just still better. I think mirrorless is a good extra, if you need a lighter camera - but if you only have one camera - go with your DSLR. And - the t6i is very light so no problem there.
I still have my XSi and the image quality is better on my XSi than the few mirrorless I have played with.
Keep your canon lenses and buy the T6i !! That is my opinion

Tommirulz and all others who have responded.

I've just about made up my mind to go with the Canon T6i body. This will allow me to keep my other Canon items.
At 83 years old, this just may be my last camera. If the XSI gets too much for me to carry, I'll pass it on to my son or granddaughter
and buy a Sony a6000. Thanks to all again.

As you may have Canon lenses, the T6i makes the most logical sense ........a very close toss up on those three ....prices and availability of lenses should be guiding you.

If you have lenses and other dedicated accessories for the old Canon that you would be able to use with it, a new Canon would likely be a less costly upgrade. EDIT: I see you plan to sell off your existing Canon-specific lenses.... so this is a non-issue (unless you change your mind and decide to continue using some of them).

Olympus uses Four/Thirds size image sensors that are considerably smaller than APS-C in the Canon or Sony. That allows their cameras and lenses to be more compact, but at some cost to image qualities. To be fair, for most peoples' uses, they wouldn't notice the difference. Likely it wouldn't be noticeable except at higher ISOs and/or larger print sizes (or heavier cropping).

Sony has been quite innovative with things like Electronic Viewfinders and mirrorless cameras... but their lens selection is more limited than either Canon or Nikon and comparable Sony lenses tend to be a lot more expensive. For example, Canon offers four different 70-200mm. Canon's two f4 lenses sell for $600 and $1100, while their two f2.8 cost $1100 and $1800 (the latter f2.8 IS Mark II is considered by many to be the best 70-200mm anyone makes). In comparison, Sony 70-200mm f4 costs $1500 and their f2.8 costs $3000. Also compare the prices of 24-70mm, 70-300mm and other models that you find represented in all three brands.

Personally I think the Canon ergonomics and menus are the best out there... But this is a pretty subjective and I'm sure any of the systems are quite "learnable" with some practice and experience.

T6i (750D) would be a very significant upgrade from your XSi (450D). Double the resolution, much higher usable ISO, higher frame rate, a far more advanced AF system (19-point, all cross type versus 9-point, cross type only at center point), articulated "touch" screen and more.

Are you aware of the T6s (760D) for about $100 more? The basic specs are the same but it's got more "70D/80D-like" controls and LCD displays. Probably the most significant differences between T6i and T6s are enhancements related to videography (it that interests you).

If you have decided to stay with Canon, and if you think this could be your last camera, and if money is not a major consideration you might also wish to do a comparison between the T6i and the 80D. The 80D is more expensive, slightly heavier but has many advantages that you may enjoy. Good luck with whatever you choose.
