Been playing around with my new Nikon D7200 I acquired Friday and so far I am more than satisfied. Kicks my old Nikon D300's butt ...........

PROS

Lighter
Photos clearer
Low light noise not even an issue
Love the button layout over the Nikon D300
Uses readily available SDHC memory, not the elusive compact flash
Much faster

CONS

Does not use the same batteries as my old Nikon D300 so I have to buy new extras
Was not free
Been playing around with my new Nikon D7200 I acqu... (show quote)

I've heard a lot of good about the D7200. Enjoy.

I would have loved to have been able to get a Nikon D500 but I just could not swing $2000, not and avoid living hungry under an overpass .... LOL
Compared to my almost 10 year old Nikon D300 my new Nikon D7200 is unbelievable and to tell you the truth, I am not a professional photographer
so I most likely could not justify $2000 for a Nikon D500 and would have bought the Nikon D7200 just the same.

So far, I have NO regrets ....

That would have been a sacrifice worthy of your art. You could get great street shots living under an underpass.

The D200 and D300 going away from the N80 body style used in the D100 and they are quite nice. I am thinking of getting either the D200 or D300.

I just bought a used d200 mainly because I can bracket 5,7, or 9 shots for hdr. but find that when use it properly, I get nice images.
