This spot is about 125 miles up river from the spot where George and the boys crossed 240 years ago to throw the Hessians a surprise Christmas party. (4 image stitch)

The curve of the river and those fluffy clouds add a lot to this pretty scene.

Thank you Dave. I was planning on going to another location this morning but mother nature said NO.
Rain for the next three days followed by high winds. Good bye color. Oh well there is always next year.

It was a perfect day yesterday Linda. Seldom do we get all the right elements to come together as they did.

Wonderfully done, can't find a stitch anywhere Rich. Seems like there ought to be a couple of fly fisherman down there somewhere.

Stunning - I really like the corner to corner sharpness on the download.

Hi Rich,

Nice vibrant, colorful landscape shot of this beautiful PA. scenery. As My Dad used to say, God's Country - he was born there, lived in other states for several years due to his occupation, moved back after retirement, and died there. It is a lovely State and I have been in PA many, many times and traveled across I-80 from it's beginning way back when. Nice capture, for sure!

That looks like it could be the Susquehanna River, but you said it is the Delaware? Is it close to the Delaware Water Gap?

Best Regards,
Tom

Thank you Rich. I have driven the entire length of I-80 so many times and have been through the Delaware Water Gap too many times to count in all kinds of weather. I personally have lived in Suffern, NY, and have driven on I-80 all times of the day and night.

PA is such a lovely State, and I particularly love it around the central part of the State, but other parts (Scranton, Wilkes Barre, Lancaster, Hershey, Erie - NW PA, etc.) are also very nice as well. Of course, it gets crazier the closer one gets to Philly, New Jersey/NYC.

Best Regards,
Tom

I like this a lot. I think it is the shot I kept wanting when I was there last fall, but never found, I was chasing it from below and of course it wasn't there.

The higher elevation not only gives you more depth than I got, and it lets you show all that rampaging color, but also let you use that great curve in the river for compositional control. Very well designed image, oughta print and frame this one.
