You bet. Those hot knives are really designed to cut foam board. Some hobby foam board products are safe to cut, but most give off toxic fumes. One must cut in a well ventilated area. I have never used a hot knife on the type of foam mentioned in this post, but fumes from such foam will most likely be toxic. That is why I did not consider using it on Pelican foam.
