For Your Consideration....wondering if this shot causes a second more thorough look, or maybe keeps the first look looking?

Frank a very nice action shot !!! The facial expression along with the parent/coach looking on makes this an exciting image, not to mention the ball placement. Its obvious what is going on here. No description is needed. Although, it is a little over processed for my eyes. Thats just a personal observation but over all this is an excellent shot. Well done !!!

My thought is that he fouled the goalie!

My other thought is that more natural processing would suit the subject better. But that is entirely my personal view.

Thank you Mr. Chinn, I was hoping the background would add a touch of interest to the shot. The process was pushed a bit.

It was a clean goal, thank you Mr. Smith for taking time to comment.....for some reason I wanted that just past real look with this photo.

I find it tremendously interesting, Frank, including the slightly surreal pp. Terrific energy and details.

What a perfect moment catching just as the ball hits the back of the net. I love the low perspective and the dominance of the lines of the net.

I would like to see that huge 7 gone, though. I wonder if there is a logo for the sports group, or something else appropriate that could replace it? If it's a normal and natural thing for you to see there, then I understand why wouldn't be an issue for you.

Thank you Linda for comment, the field is #7 and how they are all marked.

Nice interesting action shot well taken and good composition. Pleased to see everyone is tad polite and desperately respectful about about the pushing of the processing young Frank.
My form of polite and honesty is to tell you its perfectly awful. As simple as that. Process it properly please and re-post it here so we can enjoy a good fota in the way it should be presented. What were you thinking of? I have a sneaking suspicion you hit the bottle when in front of that Mac!
By the way this is the game that runs in every Englishman's blood and its called football huh.

It won't appeal to all Mr. Spad but had I left it normal it would have been another boring grandkid shot. Ahhh my mistake, yes Football....Premier League with 6 of the richest clubs.

It would not have been another boring grandkid shot, it has well taken action going on. As it is it looks like FYC fodder where the members bust a gut to out art each other with unnecessary processing. There is often a lot to be said for a good shot just treated in a normal fashion. This is good enough to stand alone without enhancements to make it what it is not.
My man the noise and excitement generated at somewhere like Old Trafford, the ground of my team Manchester United, has to be seen and heard at least once in every mans life. 76000 people packed into a stadium screaming and shouting for their heroes. It is one of the very few things I miss about the UK. Do not even get repeats of games on TV here unless its German football for some reason. Possible charges for screening premiership games is too high for what would be a small audience. Until you see it first hand and live it you can not imagine what watching 22 men kick a bag of wind around a field can do to a normally quiet and sane looking man. Ol' Billy could scream shout and jump around with best of em. Sing with my mates for the 2 hours the journey home took by car if we won or sit staring into space on the odd occasion we got beaten. Oh happy days!!!!! And thanks for helping me recall the memories.

Frank I think it has already been said before. Nice action shot (good timing) by you. To me it looks a bit light. The refuse and the kids in the background add To the action

You caught everything spot on...001 second later and it would have been a candidate for the delete button. An action shot for the books.

I understand your point but must admit to liking this one for reasons unknown.

Thanks NJ, it's often hard to get a descent back ground at these games.....usually parked cars behind the people and never looks good.

And I thought the name of the sport was association football and that football and soccer were nicknames. Thanks for the info.

I am very impressed with this action shot, it is what I always try for with grandson-soccer and never get (some of that is my fault and some of it is his!). It would be great as a normally processed sports photo, but it's also interesting with this processing, which I happen to like a lot but which may not appeal to everyone as it's a bit radical. Very well done.

I predict this is one he'll LOVE to have as a poster in his room. PLEASE get this one printed for him!
