A wonderful series. The first and the last one are especially interesting for me, in that the people don't seem to know that you are even there but the dogs are looking right at you. The B&W demonstrates how color can actually be a distraction. Thanks for a very thought provoking set.

A good subject and a thoughtful study. You used different looks in all of these photos and I'm particularly interested in seeing how you work with Black and White since that is a particular interest for me. Very nice.

Thanks Erich !!! I like to mix things up sometimes, depending on subject matter, but I usually stick to one processing mode for the most part. I think. I would be glad to help if you feel the need. Just ask me the specifics and Ill try.

Thanks boberic !!! Glad you have an interest in these. Yes, most people tend to be focusing on their dog. Although, a couple of them knew I was taking their picture and didn't seem to mind.

Great series, Dave. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be #1, but all of them are appealing. They're sharp, with your signature "edgy" processing that I so admire, and really show the relationships between dog and owner (or possibly human and owner since the dogs often own us rather than the other way around). You've managed to isolate the dog-human pairs even in busy settings which is not easy to do.

I'm glad to see several series posted by you and others here. Series presentations, whether about places, events, or like subjects, allow us a very different way of presenting/viewing/critiquing images than single image submissions do. We may need to "consider" our critiques differently? That might be a topic for discussion.

Just let me know what you & Sharon decide. Maybe this time I can get to meet Minnie.

Thanks Minnie. I agree, if I had to choose a favorite it would be #1 as well. I appreciate your comments and opinion, as with all comments I learn, and make an attempt to go to another level. Although, sometimes I take two steps back before moving up one. LOL !!!

I agree, series presentations are so much better for viewing and discussions. I will keep that in mind about series photos, but I also find it difficult to have a variety, so maybe I should change my shooting habits. Thanks again.
