Wowsa Dave, what a fascinating series!

#2 has the least impact for me, but that's only because you set the bar so high with the others:

#1 - the dynamics of the tension on the leash and the lady in mid-step

#3 - the humor of the size difference + the enigmatic facial expression of the owner

#4 - the light!!...and is he wondering how he will pick up the poo with both hands occupied with those bulky plastic retractable leashes...

#5 - the poses (and O.M.G. the sinewy fit look of the owner!), the composition

I enjoyed these tremendously. What an inspiring talent you are, Dave!

Interesting that the couple are focused on the dog rather than the dog owner's curious attire

Yes, the attire was rather different. This was in front of a pet store in Bar Harbor, Maine, which you may familiar with area. I think the store name was Bark Harbor. Thanks again.

These are over the top shots and PP...excellent work! I think the B&W is totally the right way to go with these, color would have been too cluttered! B&W allowed you to enhance exactly what you wanted without some garish color diverting our eye!!

Very interesting set. #3 does it for me. The big guy with the small dog. That combination seems to happen more often the you would think. The owner having to sit awhile, while his little buddy seems to be eager to keep going. Technically the B/W to me is well done.

Yes, I saw her thread, but I did not see the store. All too funny though.

Thanks Bob for the compliment !!! I have to agree, the B&W was the way to go and yes, color was a distraction and while cluttered as well.

Thanks NJFrank !!! Glad you like #3 which encourages me to set out for more. Your description is right on target of the big guy and little dog. Thanks again.

A good subject and a thoughtful study. You used different looks in all of these photos and I'm particularly interested in seeing how you work with Black and White since that is a particular interest for me. Very nice.
