As stated if I import from another device I can import from the camera, I just have to prepare a folder ahead of time for the images:

Does Capture recognize your camera?

Not trying to say what you should do. Just info, one mac user to another. My workflow for processing images: (1) Create a folder (2) Use Capture to import images (3) Use Name Mangler to rename the files: "Date Subject Camera_file_name" (4) Import into photo editing/finishing programs (5) Post process accordingly.

Steps 1-4 go very quickly.

Yes, every other piece of software (and I have many) recognize the camera when attached. It is just Bridge that is doing this, it is not that it stops me from importing from the camera, what I am saying is this feature which used to work a year ago is broken and Adobe is refusing to fix it, and this was my favorite option in Bridge.
