Is manual focusing with the DF any different (better) than with any other Nikon DSLR?

I find it so with my heritage lenses. A Nikon expert on another site suggested that since the DF Market was expected to include a lot of folks with older lenses it was in some way optimized for that application. I had some minor issues with the D 750 and old lenses, now I use the DF exclusively for those with uniformly excellent results.

I'm one of those with the older lenses, but not that great with manual focus on my other bodies.
Thanks.
Will have to have a hands-on session sometime.

The Df has the Type B BriteView screen, which I believe is standard on all Nikon DSLRs, so I would expect no difference there. I think that as long as one can focus clearly on the screen, manual focus should be a snap.

Perhaps he was talking about the ability to accept non-AI lenses. At least I’ve seen no difference in focusing ability between auto and manual focus lenses.

No, the specific subject of the conversation was focusing and old Nikon glass. It seems a bit easier to me, and the resulting images are sharper.
I programmed in all my favorite AI lenses as soon as I got the camera -- non AI stay with one of my old film Nikons. That was not discussed.

A number of us here have this camera. All of them like it very much. I don't see a review here except there are many online elsewhere.
In my opinion, people who bought the Df didn't care about what the reviews said.

The only negative -- it is the most expensive camera I ever bought. Worth every scary penny!

It is the best 3000.00 that ever spent, and after 2 1/2 years, I would buy another one in a heartbeat if anything happened to this one!
