Digital Photographer, Professional Photographer and Advanced Photoshop are some I enjoy.

I read these ones, lots of info in them. I pick them up at B&N and switch between which one I pick up each month.

Even the magazines from Canada are superior (my personal opinion) than most published in the US.

Would you mind sharing the Canadian publications you enjoy? I would love to take a look at those.

That's one way of looking at it. Another is that they're not as willing to waste their money on illusory 'upgrades' -- or to put things they can't afford on credit cards. As far as I know, average US personal debt is about 50% higher than average UK personal debt, though such figures are always slippery.

Cheers,

Well... at least Canada holds more personal debt than in the US. Nothing to be proud of.

I can't tell the differance between the ads and the articals in our mags. I have some Popular Photography from the '50s Lots of articals on how to make your own equipment and how to do photography on the cheap. Not today. If they showed how to make your own equipment one of their advertizers may lose a sell. Don't want that. So they just tell everyone they need a megabuck some thing or another to get a good shot. I guess we have utube. Dave

I read them all personally I like them, some of them come with a tutorial CDs and all have stock start images you can use to follow along and loads of good information. Expensive but IMO worth the price. If you are new to using photoshop programs the CDs are useful. One can follow along and learn how to use some of the PS program tools or you can follow the tutorials in the magazine. Everything pretty much spelled out and simplified. My only problem is sometimes I have a bit of trouble understand the editors. (Nothing against the English accent) I just find it a bit difficult sometimes.

MWAC, do you have a Books-a-Million there? That's where I've seen them here where I live. I believe that one is Outdoor Photography, and I'm not sure on the other two. But, each is an excellent publication.

I don't think we have that store but I think I have seen outdoor photography at B&N... I'll have to take a closure look and check them out.
