Indeed a great poster for her.... superb lighting effect esp with hair. Kudos Dave, on a captured moment.

Good on Mr. Chinn, composite or not, as said the light is great along with just the right motion blur.

Mesmerizing image, Dave. Her tremendous energy, the light and shadow - the added elements. This has a huge impact for me.

I wish you'd posted in September 'cause I've already nominated one of yours for August gallery wall!

You have a great portfolio. I have shot college football and half time band performances in the rain. What stands out to me is there should be some water drops on the mic, and maybe on her chin. Her body looks dry, it doesn't have that soaked in the rain look to me.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your comments. She was under a canopy, so therefor was able to keep dry. She wasn't suppose to be wet for the fact that water and electronic components don't go together very well.

Thank you Treepusher !!! I appreciate it and feel as you do. Sorry, I went out of sequence, had a senior moment with too many things going on at the same time.

Thank you very much dpullum !!! It doesn't happen all the time when processing seems to flow along so well. I appreciate your comments.

It is a fine image, great impact and energy. Your great eye for composition and excellent processing are sure on display with this one.

Though I really like it, I have a few questions - Should the rain effect be on her arms and shirt? (Maybe the rain effect is more art than any effort at realism, which is perfectly acceptable). Is the bright area lost or did you go overbright with it on purpose? Is the slight blur motion blur or something you added as a part of processing?

With Minnie's and jim quist's questions about rain, I now have a question, Dave:

though you said in the opening it was "rain," I quickly forgot that - lol - and my impression was more of it being a non-specific element than a literal representation. For me, the diagonal "lines" add motion, energy, contrast, visual interest. Can you speak more about your ideas in this area? Thanks so much.
