I selected the girl and dress in PS, inverted the selection, and darkened everything except the girl & dress, then put a little extra on the ceiling tiles. There are several ways to do it, but I thought in keeping with the "dream" theme this would have the best effect.

Thanks, I will try that. Good suggestion. I never did like the ceiling. Darkening it makes it blend in better.

your original post did not separate the folds of the gauze from the underskirt of the dress, did not
show the layers as separate or display the bead work very well and they seemed to be
the same color but not white.
i also brightened the girls face to accent the dress as the radiant source of light in the room
and accented the hallway and ceiling to strengthen the diagonal elements of the composition.
i left the girls toes red so you could how far i had to press it to recover the dress.

I like how JaySnave did the darkening , then as you look at it, the door in the back is distracting
so I removed it.
