Stinson, It is hard to find the plane in that last shot; it took my wife a minute or so to find it too.
Pretty plane though.
Nice shots of the old PT-17's . I flew a Stearman a few times . A lot of fun .

Machia, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I've admired the Stearmans since the 60's when I started to build & fly R/C models--never built one of these though. I think they are the most eye catching of the old planes; it's helps that they are big and the paint schemes so perfect whether in Army Air Corps or Navy colors, and it's hard to miss that monster radial engine in the nose!
I'll post a couple more as soon as I get them done.
Nice shots of classic airplanes, all of them. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for looking, Karen. It was an interesting day, but everybody there baked. I think your part of the country got the heat a couple of days ago.
If I end up hiding in the house today, I'll PP some more and post them.
We had a lot of 90degree days with high humidity this summer, last summer was a little cooler.
Very nice photos. They bring back some nice memories. I got to fly in one of those a few years back, straight and level along with aerobatics. That was really flying. Nothing like being in an open holer.

With nothing else to do except hide in the house from several days of heat and humidity, I got bored and my brother and I decided to go the the event at the Massey Airdrome in Massey, MD. As an open fly-in it was pretty much a bust. Discussing the recent heat wave with a lady that flew in with her husband, she said that even at 2000-3000 feet it was still hot, and there was another similar event in VA also yesterday; both of which probably held down the number of planes.
No matter, it was an escape; we got some plane photos and an excuse after a few hours to escape to an air conditioned place for burgers and a beer
.
Except for the low pass the shots have not been edited (yet).
