mt shooter: Will the AI Nikon Lenses work with the D40, D40x, or the D60 in manual? I've got a battered budget and have a bridge Fuji Finepix S8100fd right now. I've seen reviews about the D60 and the biggest problem seems to be with the learning curve as far as settings go. Manual doesn't worry me too much as I've spent lots of time with manual cameras, and I still have an almost new FM10 sitting in it's case. I've noticed that good D40, D40x, and D60's are priced pretty good on eBay - probably the D60 would be the best buy now, wouldn't you agree?

The beauty of Nikons F mount is that all the old lenses will still mount on all the new DSLR bodies, within the limitations of the lens of course. Find a body, mount 'em up and fine focus to your hearts delight. Some of that old Nikon glass is exceptional!
