I bought a Kodak all in one printer because the ink was cheap. A crappy printer it was. Buy a good Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer and you go broke buying ink. You can't win.

it weighs 54 lbs. i can carry the printer out of box (& i'm technically elderly ;-) in its box i need help, but the ups man last night carried it into our mudroom without our help.

Also, Canon has a special deal now that you may want to get in on. If you buy a set of cartridges direct from Canon, you will get over $630 of free paper. The ink will cost you $135, but they send you over 200 sheets of 19x13 paper, 100 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper, and bunch of 5x7 and a tone of 4x6 photo paper. Also, free shipping and it weighs a ton.

where can i find this offer? b&h doesn't seem to have it.

I'm not sure if you are asking about the printer deal through B&H or the free paper deal through Canon.

In any case the deal is over now. I just checked for the free paper deal and they still give you 100 sheets of 19x13 paper. 50 Luster and 50 semi gloss.

You can only get it from Canon direct sales over their web site.

what i see on the canon page is a full set of ink for $47, no mention of paper. the price is certainly good enough to jump on, but what i really need right now is paper.

I ordered mine about 7 months ago with a similar deal- $250 rebate. Printer is awesome and rebate AMEX card came several weeks later. Also included was 13x19 paper as a bonus. Be aware that the box is very heavy, and I recommend two people to move it.

It doesn't take two men to move this. It is not a refrigerator.

Are you looking at the Pixma Pro-100 ink? Because I just went to the Canon website for ink and it's $124 for a set. If you put it click on it and put it in your cart and then go to cart you'll see the free paper. As I said before, you don't get the huge box of paper like I got a week ago. Just 200 sheets of 19x13 paper. Which isn't a bad deal either since they charge $99 per box of 50 19x13 so it's still $400 of free paper. I don't know if I'll ever use the 4x6 or the 5x7 paper anyway.

looks like canon is tailoring what appears to who looks. i registered my new printer noon today & looked at canon's ink page around 3 hours later. i'll keep poking at it & see how the offerings change. if i have time tomorrow, i'll use a different machine & see if i get different choices.

As for buying ink, I found B+H had the best price for the multipack for the pro 100. I have read mixed reviews about aftermarket ink. I bite the bullet and buy the Canon ink.

Canon pro-100 is a great printer. I purchased one three years ago. I would recommend it for those who needs to print larger printers.

Too good to pass up I'd say.

I got mine some time ago & love it. I don't find the price of ink to be prohibitive. I order original ink online. Also, I only print the "good" shots which limits the printer use a lot!😀

Got mine for $100.00 a couple years ago, and you will get a pile of paper!
