I'm looking for a wide angle lens for my Nikon D7100, no fisheye. Looked at the Nikon 10-24MM. Don't want to spend $800 plus. Any suggestion on another Brand? Or should i just bite the bullet?

Thanks,
Sam

I too have a 7100 and didn't want to spend that much. I decided on the Sigma 10-20 mm and love it at half the price. I liked it so much I bought a refurbished 24-70 mm from Sigma. I really love the Sigma product. Suggest you check the Sigma website for a refurbished 10-20mm. Their refurbished products are just like new but with a shorter warranty period. I've never had a problem.

Do you have the f/3.5 version or the f/4-5.6 version? I had thought that the constant wider aperture was better, but now I'm not hearing that.

I got the older model of the Sigma and it is an awesome lens. The variable aperture version

Thank all for the posts, toss up between Sigma 10-24 and Nikon 10-24DX. Will keep looking for the best price.

Thanks again,
Sam

" I believe the Nikon lenses will sell closer to their purchase price than a Sigma or Tamron would."

It's true. Most of my Nikon manual focus lenses are now worth MORE than I paid for them.
