This is an illiterate article from some nobody. I wouldn't believe a word of it.

Yes, this is a 2 year old article and makes little sense now. Especially when we take into account that the new D7300 is already available in stores and is called D500.

You stole my line! (Except for the 50 plus years of taking pictures...)

There will eventually be an enthusiast level successor to the D7200, in addition to a $2000 specialized camera like the D500 that most people can't afford and don't need.

I just purchased it for $1399.00 minus the rebate of $300.00 for a net cost of $1099.00 plus tax. It was too good to pass up.

Is the rebate from Nikon or Costco?

This is my first post on this site. I have been following the discussions regarding the D7200. It appears that Nikon just reduced the price of the camera in advance of announcing a new model.

On the Costco website they have the camera with accessories and the 18-55mm and 55-300mm lenses. The price is $1699.00 minus a rebate of $300.00 for a net of $1399.00. I was just in my local
Costco and they now have the camera in-store with the two lenses and accessories for a price of $1399.00 minus a $300.00 rebate for a net of $1099.00.

Are you sure? I’ll have to check it out, not that I’D be buying anything new just yet. I’ve only had my D7100 since November. But I’ve never seen store prices any different than what’s on the website. Actually, often the opposite. There have been some “online only” deals, but I’ve never seen an in-store price less than what was posted on their own site. I’ll have to check out my local store.

Not having check this out, personally, generally such rebates are through Costco.

I just checked out this online offer from Costco on the Nikon D7200. They are sold out.
