Don, you named this right, Ultimate! Wow, what an amazing piece of work. You must have the patience of Job. But looking at the image, it was worth it, well done.

Thanks for your kind praise, Walt! One definitely needs a bit of patience when creating a piece like this. The most tedious part of the whole thing was masking out the background on the light rigging. It was initially shot during broad daylight at the Austin City Limits Festival. Don't even know who the band was, I was just looking for a wide shot just to capture some ambiance. Turned out to be perfect for what I was looking for for this piece.

Well all things considered, I am surprised it only took a year. You should be very proud of yourself.

Thanks Frank, I am a bit proud. It's certainly my most intense piece and must say, it turned out exactly the way I wanted. I could have finished sooner, but I had to step away for a week or two at a time to get a fresh perspective and rest my eyes.

Don, there's not enough words to describe how I feel about this composite. I know there is a lot of work involved along with patience. This is one fine piece of art, I like it very much. Although, I can't name all but can name more than not. I'm curious to your plans for this image? I'm sure its going to be on a wall somewhere.

We stopped in Nashville on our return trip from Houston/New Orleans and I liked the music district so much that I yearn for a return trip. Lots of interesting people to photograph, I just wished we had stayed longer.

Thanks for your kind words, Dave and your keen insight as to what it takes to create something like this. I'm going to create one similar to this with all of the country artists I've worked with. The stage may not be big enough for that one! As far as plans, I know were going to hang one in our studio on the back wall of the control room. My wife is in sales and she wants to hit up some of the other music venues around town; we've already spoken to the curator at the Ryman Auditorium. I do know that I need $1 million in insurance coverage before I can be considered there or at the Opry House. I'd also like to talk to someone from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. We'll see ...

My wife and I love Nashville. We moved from my hometown of San Diego in Sept 2000. You'd have a field day with your camera there!

Congratulations on finishing this magnificent image. What an amazing accomplishment! I can't imagine bringing anything of this magnitude to a final product, I'd give up before I got very far. Your skills are pretty awe-inspiring.

Thank you for the wonderful compliments, Minnie. I will say, it can be quite tedious and tiresome. I walked away for a few days or even a week at a time to work on something else, then return to it with a fresh perspective. I'm going to start work pretty soon on a similar piece featuring all the country music artists I have worked with.
