I grew up in the newspaper biz...my first job was cleaning presses...etc....
It has always been said that photographers don't spell....they are lousy at spelling...could it be they are VISUAL PEOPLE!!!
Texting is another subject...in my opinion texting is highly associated with laziness and the slipshod public educational system.
I see all kinds, including my own, of poor spelling and grammar here. Hey..c'mon...it's about photographers...whadda ya expect...
I think we need to spend our time creating imagery and sharing with our fellow visual cyber friends.

First I will never apologize to EW, I have no reason too, second for some reason you have issues with me, that's fine. I don't have any issues with you but I a big enough person to realize not everyone is going to like me and it's not my problem anyhow.

My wise old grandmother taught me the 80/10/10 rule for people:

10% of the people will hate me because that's the type of people they are.
10% of the people will love me because that's the type of people they are.

I've not heard that one, but my grandmother also had a favorite saying. She taught me to choose my actions and my words carefully because, according to her, every single thing we do in life, whether it be good, bad, or merely indifferent, comes back to us three times over.

I'm sorry, but those of us who have taught school just can't help ourselves when we see misspelled words. Forgive us if it bothers you. Grammar is another thing. I hated English, but was always a good speller. I taught Math, Science and Physical Education and coached basketball and track. Twenty-five years as a photojournalist, after the teaching, with editors who did a good job most of the time got me by in the grammar department. We all have our flaws.
I don't post anything anywhere as far as photography goes. I figure by now I have nothing to prove to anyone. I have learned from my mistakes. A lot of good advice along the way helped me to be a successful photojournalist. I only hope we can do that on the forum. Help people who ask for advice and give comments that can help others grow in their photography and compliment really good photos. Lets move on.

pg. 16 Isenear, I am even older than you and agree with every thing you said.

Who cares if the spelling is incorrect or their English. For those of you who enjoy starting a riot on the 'puter you waste my time and space. We have one professor that knows what he speaks of. Leave him alone. Perhaps you will learn something.

Whoops, now I am doing it. See how contagious anger is!
Knock it off

Hello JacLee I also like everything Isenear said and I also like what you said.
Have a wonderfull day

pg. 17 Jackinthebox, Thank you! Just curious, why are you in hiding? I don't understand why so many people say "in hiding". If it is none of my business, then that is OK, as long as you arn't hiding out from the Law or an angry woman.
LOL LOL

When the poster, in their profile, leaves the location field blank, the program enters "in Hiding”. It does not mean that the person is hiding from anyone or anything. Hiding from the law is impossible now a days and the only angry women I know are on this forum under assumed names. I do travel, too much, and would not want to update my profile all the time as people would misinterpret the info if provided. Ooooops now I have to load this into MSWord for a spell check or someone will have a coronary. I do that all the time anyway and second yours or someone else’s wish to have a spell checker in the post area. That would complicate the software though so do not expect it anytime soon. BTW I did go back and read the entire posting that I had responded to, v/s only the first and the last paragraph, and it is so full of spelling and grammar mistakes that it appears the writer was either drunk or otherwise effected. He would do well to take some English lit classes. So never, never ever, take the spelling police serious.

Spellchecked in MS Word, any typos left are left intentional to make the point more pointedly than the American English Language allows or to entertain myself.
8-) 8-)

Haha! Nothing to worry about spell cops cuz they are just little kids. Jack----Box loves to play the romance game. I would love his fur for rug in my den room. LOL

tk.. was thinking of only mentioning spelling, then at the last second my brain added grammar to the sentence and it was going too fast to swap out the was for the were and it made my finger click on the send button. But that's why they have the [EDIT] feature right?

I did notice that in your comments on page 9, you wrote fell instead of feel. That just goes to show you, everyone isn't perfect, me included. Every once in awhile I find an extra letter. I do try to check and change what I see wrong. Yes, the oops do get through. I live with it and so do others. Thanks.
