I'm loving this cam, I know it had rave reviews and after 2 yrs. of looking for it for at a good price BAMM ! My processing skills are lacking but, I got a transit and I'm still trying to find what will work for the best results. Give it a try ? and tell me how I can what I can do to improve?

I would think just a mild tweak of the exposure in Photoshop or whatever you use to brighten it up, maybe a half of a stop at least. Amazing detail is there though. It's amazing what can be achieved with a small chipped sensor.

Well done,
Matthew

Wow! Yeah, I would just up the time.
Great detail in what can be seen there Ronnie.

Since I can't stack, I use time to get my images. (Matthew told me I stack with time in my camera. )
I have even taken to starting at a setting, then doubling, and doubling until it looks over-exposed. Then dropping back to find what I like. I prefer to try and get it right in the camera.

But I sure like what I can see already.

Well, I did get some picturds to stack in RegiStax 6 once. But the result was not worthy of anything above the delete key.

We are having a good run of bad "June Gloom" here. It's a phenominuminum where the skies get real murky with clouds and upper atmospheric foggy crud.
I was checking out some summer nebula two nights ago and the picture disappeared. I looked up to see a blurry fog taking over the sky.
So I had to pack it in. And it has been muh every since...
Supposed to get hot again by next weekend. So it's a crap shoot here, this time of year.
Lots of cool looking stuff in Stellarium, if we could get a hole to peer through...

Sorry to hear of your neck and back acting up. So far I've been lucky and I can drug myself out of it. But they keep bringing up spinal injections, and I keep telling them no thanks. Pills I can choose, Some dolt with a needle I cannot. So I'm still toughing it out.

Hope to see more from you soon! Looks to be a good camera.

SonnyE, I've been getting injections for years and some work and some don't , and that makes it difficult to pin it down , I guess if they could hit the right spot everytime . My pain moves all over and that makes it hard to pinpoint . I'll take the pain of getting the shots over the increased pain everyday , just saying . Way the options my friend and you decide. Have you ever tried WWT{WORLD WIDE TELESCOPE} it's a cool 3d learning program that let's you see what the space telescopes see? Ronnie

I just have an aversion to somebody of questionable skill trying to hit the area between two membranes shielding my spinal cord from my vertebra.
And then, there is the fact that if I don't like it I can't change it. Using a pill bottle I can choose. And usually I choose not.
But I can imagine a day when I won't be able to choose, or the choice won't work. So I hope to out live that outcome. (Degenerative disc decease and arthritis in my spine.)
If I had known I was gonna live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

That Worldwide Telescope looks pretty cool. I had never heard of it before. Do you know why it needs to download?

Have you seen what Jim in Albaturkey is getting with his Skyris camera?
I look forward to more from your Phillips camera.

There is a group on Flickr called Astromity that used to run submitted photos through an identification program and label key objects in Astrophotographs.
It hasn't worked correctly in over a year. It tells you what you have in a list but no labels to assist with ID. It does however provide a link to the WWT and overlays your photo onto the correct area allowing you to fade and see what you have and what you didn't get. I used that a lot when I was trying to see just how much Andromeda I was missing.. ( LOT's at first and still quite a bit).
If you have a Flickr account its worth a look.

I've downloaded it several years back and I haven't a clue why you have to download certain content I would guess. It's awesomely cool though ! I use it hooked to my mount and it does pretty well going to the object saved me from having to get a flip mirror and" IT'S FREE" . I will have to check that out on yahoo flicker} Jim. I've got several moon dissections from various astronomers that I bounce from and they're very detailed but, the overlay sounds interesting Jim . I just would need to remind myself to flip the moon off so it would line up correct , RIGHT ! thanks for the heads up !

Ahh, the plot thickens!
It can hook to your mount controls as well? Well, I have to investigate that then.

Be right back...
