As a group, who do you consider to have the best quality glass (not quantity of lenses) among Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic?
Or is there even a dime's difference among them.

All upper end glass is good no matter what the brand. But to pick out some that seem to have more than than others I would pick Schneider, Hasselblad, Fuji, Canon, Olympus, and Panasonic. The main reason for including Olympus and Panasonic is they have to be exceptionally sharp because of their small format.

Oh, wait a second! I just remembered - SS is correct that only Canon lens are sharp!

Well, having tried most of the others, both myself and my daughter, who is a professional, think that Fuji has the edge

I found this article to be interesting.

As to glass, I like Olympus and Panasonic, but you already knew I was going to say that.

All Fuji glass is excellent even their kit lens. I love the X-E2 and the X-Pro2 cameras. Fuji is always upgrading through firmware cameras and lenses.I loved my Nikon D300, but so happy I switched to Fuji. All I can say is try before switching.BTW my first mirrorless was an Olympus EM-5 which I still have, but prefer the Fuji system.

Format matters. If you're shooting Sony, the Sony G lens line is essentially Minolta and you also have Zeiss. Fuji has Fujinon. Olympus is Olympus, and has the PRO lens line. Panasonic has Leica. Whether it's APSC or mu43 sensor size, you have excellent lens choices; but what subject matter you want to shoot will dictate what brand is best for you because of the camera bodies' capabilities. If you want to shoot action, sports, or birds in flight then you'll need one that can do that easily and with the proper ergonomics. If all you'll shoot is portraits and/or landscapes, then you'll want the brand that excels in that area. But, they ALL have lenses that are every bit as "good" as the best their competitors offer: Olympus(Pro)=Panasonic(Leica)=Sony(Zeiss or G)=Fuji. See which body suits you and there's your answer!

Fuji, They make up to 6 figure special lenses and optics. They likely beat Canon and others in some categories.

All of the companies you mentioned manufacture some excellent lenses. As a matter of fact, most lenses made today are of excellent quality if the person behind the camera does his or her part.

hi Bob, fully agree with your recommendation - nothing beats this class of optics currently on the market, excluding leica glass for the rangefinder cameras.

As MT said, there is no "best". trying to determine the "highest quality is a fools errand. Furthermore as it hqs been said 6742925 times (yes, I counted) it aint the gear....
