I am considering going mirrorless (currently Nikon D7k and lenses).

As a group, who do you consider to have the best quality glass (not quantity of lenses) among Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic?
Or is there even a dime's difference among them.

My opinion, Schneider and Zeiss with Nikkor close behind.

If discussing the Pro level glass, they are all very comparable in image quality. In kit lenses, the Fuji has a definite image quality edge, but very limited availability.
Pro level lenses from ALL the major manufacturers, and yes that includes Tamron and Sigma, is all so good only the fanboys will claim a difference which does not really exist except in lab tests, and even then the difference is indistinguishable to most human eyes.

Quantity and Quality... Olympus Zuiko and Panasonic Lumix (leica partner) share this table.

http://hazeghi.org/mft-lenses.html

MASSIVE LIST. And this list is a couple of years old... Both Oly and Pana have added numerous high caliber lenses in the last 2-3 years, that are not shown here.

Quality... but still building the list in mirrorless....Fujifilm. Fujinon glass with EBC coatings. Shot Fujinar and Fujinon glass against Hasselblad and in large format in the sixties. Has only improved with time.

Sony.... Quality good but shy on lens selection in mirrorless.

Yes, Nikkor has good glass, but Nikon has not, and seems not to be able to build a good mirrorless body. All bust so far.

You left out: Carl Zeiss, LEITZ LEICA, & Schneider! From your pics, Sony which has Call Zeiss, and Olympus, which has top flight lenses
and some LEICA lenses made by Panasonic are offered to 4/3rds format! How can you not know this . . . AP

Sony has excellent Zeiss lenses. Leica glass is as good as Zeiss IMO. Panasonic/Leica pairing and Sony E-mount/Zeiss pairing are tough to beat. Nikon lenses are no slouches either, especially the high end FX lenses. Get the lenses that match its camera body. All will do the job very well. The Sony a6300, a7r2, and the Panasonic GH4 and GX8 have received good ratings as mirrorless cameras. Let's not forget photographer skills as well.

Not saying these are not great lenses, just not familiar with these particular lenses as you are.

I didn't mean that, sorry if my post came across stern.

Bottom line is that we are lucky to be alive to have all the variety available

You were only trying to tell me about other great glasses. Olympus and Panasonic are quality too. Sadly, as good as they are, their marketing is not as intense as Sony Nikon and Canon. Seems like I remember someone told me Olympus and Panasonic share the same lens mount? Enjoy your day.

It's like any group of Manufactures they all have their premiere product.
And it's up to you to fish out the ones that are going fill your workload.
That is a very vague question in itself.

I would point out that Zeiss manufactures the equipment used to test lenses, and is the oldest company of all of them.
