There is all manner of instructional video and articles, but none of these have a structure of learning to them. To have something that says "this is Lightroom, and I'll teach you all about it" in a structured way, I found the book "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classroom in a Book" exceptional. Available at Amazon and other fine book stores.
LOVE Julianne Most tutorials!
But there are LOTS of good ones out there.

Not familiar with Julianne Most?
There are lots of great tutorials out there, but if you are just starting, Adobe has a good set that is well organized as a place to get started.
http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/tutorials.htmlWhen you click on "Get Started" you are presented with a dropdown that lets you select "Learn Essentials", "Key Techniques," and "New Features." If you select "Learn Essentials" for example, you are presented with over 60 essential tutorials, organized into 12 categories, such as "Lightroom Workspace", "Import Photos," "Organizing Photos," Develop Photos," Catalogs, Sharing and Printing, etc. The tutorials are well organized into essential areas within Lightroom. This is where I started, then branched out to other available tutorials (many free on Youtube).
