I can see where this could create confusion here in the states Billy. Here when someone says Merc, we think of Merc-ury instead of Merc-edes. Interesting photo though. Not my cup of tea but interesting.

I keep forgetting you guys have your own brand of English! I shall remember that in future ref Mercedes.
Interesting is good enough Walt its really just a doodle and play with Photoshop. Nothing really serious although it may end up printed on the front of a tee shirt. We shall see.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

That's a good idea Billy. It'd look great on a t-shirt.

Cheers, Walt

There are some interesting colors but also a lot of deep shadows and distracting elements. Lots of clutter in the background. The shot, at eye-level, is ordinary. Not a unique perspective or composition.

But that being said, there is a shot and others and one would be up close and low. Another approach would be to use a fish eye lens which seldom get used but for auto shows becomes a wonderful tool positioned properly.
No, I am not trying to hijack the post but to illustrate my point and expand the perspective choices we make.

The car Mark is a Merc SLR gullwing. Probably the only one in Phils. Parked at the side of the road whilst the passenger bought sweet corn.
Number one I had never seen one of the beautiful cars before and number 2 I had thirty seconds to stop my bike get my camera ask permission and shoot it. A real snap shot so it gets the tee shirt treatment and will be emblazoned across my chest when I get it printed up.
You are always welcome to post on my thread and your shot is great fella

Okay, I understand. My goal and yours is to get the best shot under the conditions given. I think you achieved that. Yes, lovely car.

Interesting presentation, Billy. This could almost be advert material.

SLR ? Maybe that's what my son had, dunno, really I wasn't properly impressed maybe because it didn't look like a SL...
or whatever the racy-looking thing is/was. Guess it takes more than a 3-blade windmill logo to impress me? Is that bad? He did have a car with a cat on the hood...now, come to think of it, the logo impressed me on that one, but guess I'm an uncomplicated person or something ? :)
