It's been happening for years. Just folks are more knowledgeable about abuse now I guess. I turned in a lady in Belgium years ago (1986?) because her baby was in the backseat of a car while she was in the base exchange. On a military base, the MPs came and the lady was quite mad at me. She said " My husband is a Colonel and he'll hear about this. The baby is slow and doesn't know he is alone" The MP ( God Bless Him ) said ' You bet your ass your husband will hear about this and if your baby is slow, you should have him in your arms all the time for comfort'

Never forgot that.

Some people just shouldn't be aloud to have children. It breaks my heart and makes me so mad everytime I hear a story about a child abused or neglected.

What is sad is that these are not isolated instances. In the U.S. alone, this sort of thing is happening over a thousand times a day. Plus, there are people, even without the abuse in this country having babies that should not be doing so. It sounds as if I am being judgmental, but I am not. I have 2 instances in my own immediate family where is very true. It is just killing my wife and I. And to have to look at her with tears streaming down her face asking me where did she go wrong, when in fact none of this was her fault. These kids of hers are of legal age and they made poor life choices. And the dumbest part about it is that they are still doing this and think nothing of it. It makes you want to ring their necks. Again, our family is not unique. Very sad.

I live in a town of 2000 and there are women walking around with that look---not quite as bad but definitely looking for cancer. I see one gal who was actually burnt from doing both the tanning salon and laying in the sun. Not sure but I thought I heard on the noon news that charges will be dropped against her after her explanation was followed up and confirmed. NUTS anyway you look at it............
