Likes Tanning I`m ashamed this story originates within my state. Allegedly , she tanned her 5-6 year old, info incomplete. Does she look "normal" ...is this "normal tanning"?

No it's not right,it's been going on in the uk for some years now and some people are injecting themslves to get a tan.A young lady i've seen around town and also picking her children from school looks absolutley ridiculous, she has an all year round tan and to be honest i feel very sorry for her.I dont think she realises the damage she is doing to her skin and also the risk of that big word cancer.Rant over.

Ok Injecting yourself with something (whatever!) is just 1. weird. 2. crazy 3. stupid! Just sit in the sun an d burn , the old fashioned way! lol!

who know, these people with obviously FAKE tans . come on. They might not know how dangerous it is for your body and the effects it can and prrobably will have, BUT, I think a lot of these oddballs don't care.

Come on... the ladies with the xxxl boobs inthe xxxs blouse. Or any pluthera of attention drawing gimics(or just tastes!).

I saw that and instantly thought of a cardboard box. Same color and probably same texture.

But didn't she say her daughter got sun burned naturally ? The charge for her daughter should not be based on a tanning saloon, but child endangerment - PERIOD.

Right. How rediculous. Now, could you see the DA trying to argue that. "Your Honor, the defendant, Bla bla, is charged with endangering her daughter's life with a tan..How crazy!. This is just a bad mother, maybe crazy or unsatble...definitely poor judgement on her part, to say the least.

Sarge I agree with you whole heartedly. As a skin cancer surviver, I can only say, she is an idiot, dumb, stupid, child endangering, nutcase.

I have a friend who just had tumors removed from her stomach caused from over exposure to tanning beds, she was pregnant when they found the tumors, happiest and saddest day of her life. The result of her treatment (besides saving her life of course) she lost the baby she had been trying for and they won't know until the treatment is finished if she will be able to get pregnant again, such a terrible price to pay for a Tan.

People, no tan is worth your life.

The other side of the story goes like this: She went to a tanning salon as she always does. She took her daughter with as usual. While she was tanning, her daughter was in a play area. As usual. One day the daughter was talking about her and her mother at the tanning salon to some of her 5 year old friends. This coming from how a 5 year old communicates with others. When a grown up heard this, it was interpreted as though the 5 year old was in the tanning booth with her mom which, according to the accused mother, was totally wrong. So the mother's story goes. So far this has cost her $25,000.00 in bail. She also said that this is all a big misunderstanding and that she will tell this to the judge at her trial. Good luck with that one. She better have a lawyer.

Again, 5 years old, left OUTSIDE the tanning machine ( they do close right ?) That is neglecting a child and endangerment.

Children are not pets to take somewhere and then forget then.

5 years old. How much trouble can a curious 5 year old get into without adult supervision?

NO EXCUSE

I agree. But she said there was supervision. She is probably just trying to cover her own butt. We shall see. Just last night in Leavenworth Ks. a lady was walking her 2 month old baby boy in a stroller and just walked away and left the stroller and baby in an alley. Some other lady was driving up the alley and saw the stroller and was shocked to see what was inside. She called 911 of course. This was at about 10pm. The cops arrest the lady and said that she was under the influence. The husband was not home at the time, but when he showed up, they arrested him also. Things are getting really stupid.

It's been happening for years. Just folks are more knowledgeable about abuse now I guess. I turned in a lady in Belgium years ago (1986?) because her baby was in the backseat of a car while she was in the base exchange. On a military base, the MPs came and the lady was quite mad at me. She said " My husband is a Colonel and he'll hear about this. The baby is slow and doesn't know he is alone" The MP ( God Bless Him ) said ' You bet your ass your husband will hear about this and if your baby is slow, you should have him in your arms all the time for comfort'

Never forgot that.
