Last week I tried out the Canon G9X.
The store let me put a memory card in the camera
and walk around the mall taking a bunch of photos.
I compared the photos from the Canon g9x to the same
photos from my
ten yr old Canon IS 700 and my Nikon D90.
I liked the camera and was very impressed with the photos from the G9X!
But Canon has just come out with the new
Canon G7X Mark ii and Fuji with their X70 so will
probably get one of those.

This is a compact quality camera you can take just about anywhere. It has 20 megapixels and it should give good image quality. Learn all you can about this camera to maximize its potential. Enjoy your new toy.

What I have read, is that this may have the brand new Digic 7 sensor
