Thanks Gator
Tuff shot for me getting both White Birds in focus under the canopy. Never stop learning out here in the field.

Thanks Molly,
Wish I could visit this rookery more often, once a week or ten days is all I can visit. Guess that's better for the birds anyway. Just about all the little blue, and tri color herons have left the nest. A few snake birds and some great egrets are left. The babies really grow fast. Hope you find a nesting site in your area this year. Would love to see the woodstorks nest your way. Talk at you soon.

excellent shots of what can be a hard bird to shoot! Alittle glare off the back of the bird on the left but not bad. To recover the detail in that area would have probably made the photo too dark.

Good lighting, good detail, great focus! A real keeper.

This Couple is the largest of the nesting pairs I found at the rookery. The have a habit of flying in together, then cleaning and preening themselves before they feed the kids. All the other parents fly directly back to the nest and start feeding. I guess this older couple feel that a little alone time, away from the kids, is good for the relationship.

How close were you? I love the details of the feathers and wonder how you get that appearance. ...unless you were that close then I get it... Wow! That is my goal in taking pictures. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Everyone appreciate the comments, Love this Hobby.
Hey Dwanye
I was 100 feet or so away, in tall grass with a tunnel leading out to the pond. In this spot I can observe the birds and not stress them. On this day I had a bird land next to me and gators at my feet in the pond. Every once in awhile a bird will look my way when they hear the shutter go off. I'm shooting with a 70-300mm and get as close as I can.
