This Couple is the largest of the nesting pairs I found at the rookery. The have a habit of flying in together, then cleaning and preening themselves before they feed the kids. All the other parents fly directly back to the nest and start feeding. I guess this older couple feel that a little alone time, away from the kids, is good for the relationship.
