Ok want opinions. I want to upgrade from my SX50 to a DSLR looking back over the last 3 yrs I would say that 80%of my shots are nature landscapes 10% Animals mostly birds, and the rest grandkids and family. A large majority of the shots being in overcast or mostly cloudy low light conditions or indoors without a flash .I really enjoy Nature Photography the most and would also like to try night star fields ,Northern lights. Now the question is should I go for instant gratification buy the refurbished T5 with EF_S 18-55IS II & EF 75-300III for $279 and add better glass for a year or two or Wait a month or 2 and pickup a 7DMkII refurbished w/ EF-S18 to 135 $1449.00and add better glass over the next few years or would I be better served with refurbished/Used 6D or a Used 5DMK II, budget for this purchase cannot exceed $2000 or I will be sleeping in the garage ( the T6s and 70 D are also options but I like the weather sealing on the 7D 6D and 5D better) so I know I rambled on quite a bit but any and all opinions are welcomed Used cameras would be from Art's Camera Plus in Milwaukee, WI  Support Your Local Camera Store

Particularly for the night sky and Norther Lights I think the full frame 5DMkII would be a better choice. My suggestion would be to buy the body only and get better glass than the kit lenses right off the bat. I have an APS-C sensor and replaced the kit lens with a Sigma DC 17-70 mm F/2.8-4.0 OS HSM DC and a Tokina AT-XPro DX11~16mm F2.8 Aspherical that I got mainly for night sky photography.

for wildlife you will need a longer lens 300 mm minimum, better yet 400 mm 100-400 mark 1 used a good choice, it is what I use (I do lust after a mark 2) for stars, aurora etc you need a wide fast lens I use a Bower 14 mm f/2.8 (Samyang SLR lenses are branded as Vivitar, Falcon, Rokinon, Walimex, Bower, Opteka, Bell and Howell, Polar, and Pro-Optic) I use the 6D and 7DII with lenses from 10-600 mm for the 7DII and 14-600 mm for the 6D

The 5D III options are better than the stripped 6D.
I got my 5d III used from my dealer with warrantee.
You may be able to do the same.

I recommend L lenses to go with it.

Got Plenty of L lenses the 6D doesn't track well in low light (I do alot of sports) other than that it takes stellar pictures .

Canon 6D It don't get much better than this

Not a thing wrong with that one.

I shoot wildlife, and you gotta be fast to catch them.
The 5D is great with a 300 2.8 IS lens. It's plenty fast.
Plus I like the dual drive.

Don't do anything yet and keep an eye on the Canon Rumors site.

80D is on the way so 70D will come down in price. Upgrade to the 5DIII is expected in a few months, reported that manufacture has finished, - so could be very good deals in that area. How much of a hurry are you in?

Get a used 5ds! It will outshoot any Canon made. Don't believe anything you read!!! And yes, I've used every camera you mentioned including the 1Dx!!
I got mine used for $2750.
Nothing wrong with sleeping in the garage as long as you get to come in to get food!!
I only slept in the garage a week before my wife started missing what she pays me the big bucks for!!!! Well worth it!!

The 5DII is much older tech. It has few advantages over the 6D. But it was built to be a pro's camera and so was built like a tank.

Here are the lists of advantages of each from "Snapsort"

Advantages of the Canon 6D

Low light performance Lower noise at high ISO 2,340 ISO vs 1,815 ISO The 6D has a slight edge (0.4 f-stops) in low-noise, high-ISO performance
HDR Has in-camera HDR Combines multiple exposures to capture high dynamic range
Overall image quality Better image quality 82.0 vs 79.0(Snapsort's rating) Almost the same
Dynamic range More dynamic range 12.1 EV vs 11.9 EV 0.3 f-stops more dynamic range
GPS Has a GPS Automatically geotags your photos when traveling
Screen resolution Higher resolution screen 1,040k dots vs 920k dots More than 10% higher resolution screen
Light sensitivity (boost) Better boost ISO 102,400 ISO vs 25,600 ISO The 6D's boost ISO is 4 f-stops better
Battery life Slightly longer battery life 980 shots vs 850 shots Around 20% more shots per battery charge
Continuous shooting Shoots slightly faster 4.5 fps vs 3.9 fps Around 20% faster continuous shooting
Size Smaller 145×111×71 mm vs 152×114×75 mm More than 10% smaller
Thickness Thinner 2.8" vs 3" Around 10% thinner
Lowest price Cheaper $1,269.00 vs $1,799.99 The best price we've seen is $531 cheaper (around 30% less)
Weight Slightly lighter 770 g vs 850 g Around 10% lighter

Advantages of the Canon 5D Mark II

Shutter lag Significantly less shutter lag 206 ms vs 290 ms Around 30% less delay when taking photos
Startup delay Less startup delay 400 ms vs 500 ms 20% less delay when turning on
Viewfinder coverage Better viewfinder coverage 98% vs 97% Almost the same
Fastest shutter speed Much faster max shutter speed 1/8000s vs 1/4000s 2x faster max shutter speed

I have a 7D Mark II but would like to get a mid-priced Full Frame. I have been looking at some of the same cameras OP lists. I "think" if I get a FF it will be mostly for landscapes and portraits, etc., keeping the 7DM2 of course for sports and BIF and wildlife, etc. After looking at all the specs and reading tons of reviews, I am currently leaning towards the 6D as a best bang-for-the-buck option. Ken Rockwell has a comparison between the 5D III and the 6D. Of course the 5D wins on points, but for a LOT less money, the 6D compares pretty well in most areas (but not as many AF points and slower FPS). Also, the 6D has built in WiFia and GPS which may be important for some.

Anyway, if I do get a FF down the road, I think the 6D is a strong contender.

I want to thank You all for the thoughts so far I have trashed the T5 idea ! The 7D MKII & 6D are looking like the front runners (Basil we must be reading the same stuff)
What ever body I get is going to have to work for all around use for at least 3 yrs before I'd be allowed to add another the 5D MK III & 5Ds are a little out of reach as for focus points and speed all have got to be better than my trusty SX50 which I have gotten fairly good with
