Bing (microsoft) has a photo contest of National parks. Have the restrictions on commercial (?) photography changed? There is no mention of restrictions in the rules: http://bingrewards.icgrouplp.com/Content/Documents/Parks_Photo_Contest_Official_Rules.pdf

Did you Google (or Bing) National Park photography restrictions? That would probably get you the most accurate information. Microsoft has nothing to do with park regulations.

Why would a contest shot be commercial?!
Are you gonna come in with a Uhaul full of Hollywood hot-lights and an army of HOT Models?!?!

Depends on the type of photography and the photographer. There may be a $10.00 charge if bringing props. I also found it differs from park to park. Best to call ahead to the park office.

Any questions on the rules in National Parks can be found in a Google of "36 CFR".

They seem to be easing up on all photography restrictions. You no longer see signs such as "Please dispose of film wrappers properly."

Googling "photography rules national parks" had this as the second link in the list of many. The rules are pretty much just common sense.

Please define restrictions. I was just on the Arizona Memorial at Pearl harbor and their appeared to be no restrictions on DSLR' s or cell phones. Everyone had a cell phone. And the Japanese tourists outnumbered everyone else at least 10 to one. And boy did they have gear.

My approach to National Parks is I'm part owner, take nothing but photographs an leave nothing but footprints. Anything else is the government trying to get it's hand in my pocket, again.

It would mostly be an empty U-Haul. :?
If one receives a prize from what appears to be a commercial action, ads for Bing, it most likely would be assumed to be commercial.

In case you missed it. Google "36 CFR", which has ALL of the regulations for the National Parks. There need be no guessing.
