BTW, another thing that didn't work for me (YMMV): I went to Devices and Printers>Add a Printer. The computer searches for attached printers, you select the Pro-10 or Pro-100 and there will be two versions Pro-XXX Original and Pro-XXX Copy. Those will both appear as selectable items when the Canon print program is opened.
Why do we need Pro-xxx and Pro-xxx copy? What would happen if I deleted the copy?

Because I was trying to create two different default profiles for the same machine, but it didn't work. I deleted the copy and it didn't affect the original.

When HP replace my document printer under warranty, my menu added "HP Officejet 6830 (Copy 1)", which corresponds to my replacement printer. The original settings are now moot.

Personally, I was never a fan of Lexjet papers. I recommend Red River.

I am a member of the Canon Experience MeetUp group: http://www.meetup.com/Canon-Experience-Center .
At a lecture Thursday night, I asked about the 'Canvas' menu setting, and was told that the printhead clearance was automatically adjusted along with the ICC profile on my Pro-100.

For whose canvas product does the Pro- 100 set the ICC profile? Does Canon sell a canvas printing medium?

Also, I have been wondering how thick the paper/canvas must be (in mils) to require the print head clearance to be increased. I printed out the entire Pro-100 manual (it took almost a whole package of paper, printed on both sides) and I can't find this information. All it says is that you should raise the print head when printing on thick paper.

Has anyone else noticed that the more advanced any technological devices become the less useful information the manufacturers provide?

In the paper menu, select 'Fine Art' category. One choice is 'Canvas'. This is where the printhead height is automatically set for you. See what ICC options are then available.

Printing Red River canvas on Pixma PRO-100.
As Nikonian72 says, just select "Canvas" as the media type and then select Red River ICC profile. No need to go into driver to adjust print head.
When you print using "Canvas" the printer goes through an additional step where you lower and then raise a front panel.

This thread is about canvas media. I can see how the title might be confusing to some.
