Just purchased a DVD study guide from B and H for my Canon 7D mark II by Michael the Maven and it will not play without loading another program as it apparently not supported by Win 10. The problem now is that AVG security will not allow me to down load the program that will make it compatible. 42 dollars down the tube as I have opened the software and probably can't return it. I ain't happy.

Just a thought, call B & H and tell your tale of who!

Please quote all the usual characters. I am sure you will find many. that line-up.

You will need to wait for Shabbat to end as they practice what they believe.

Is this the dvd you are talking about?

If it is why not just play it on your dvd player hooked to your tv set?

Get VLC. It's the standard for playing just about any video on a computer - and it's free.

Thank you. I like to view on the computer as I have ear phones that help me hear on the computer and Jerry41 gave me an easy solution. The HOG came through again. Nice to have such a great support group, bud

Jerryc41 hit a home run on this one. VLC is an incredibly robust viewer for video. I've yet to find anything it couldn't handle. And as usual, he provided a "link!" :-)

Glad Jerry helped you solve your problem! VLC is a great program for video viewing.

I bought the same Michael the Maven video, but I bought it directly from Michael's web site, thus got the downloaded version. I still have the 7D (first gen) video I bought before upgrading to the Mark II. The 7D M2 is a bit of a complex beast with lots of menus and sub-menues. I found Michael's video was a great way to get up to speed and start feeling comfortable with the Mark II in short order. I still go back and watch different chapters as a refresher from time to time. I also have his video on the 600EX-RT Speedlite (I have two of them) and it's a great tutorial on, not just the speed light, but also on basic lighting techniques as well.

Hi Bud,
B & H's customer service is excellent. Give them a call or initiate a Chat. You can disable AVG during the download. You should be able to configure AVG to allow the download. You might also contact AVG. I'm sure they can help you. I've been an AVG user for 10 years.
Good luck. I'm sure there is a solution that will keep you happy!

Bud, when you get it up and running let us know what you think of it. There;s not all that much out there for the 7D MK II.

Bud,
You may find Douglas Klostermann's Canon 7D Mark II Experience helpful. It is available as a Kindle digital download at Amazon.
