I thought I was pretty good at editing until I went back and looked at some of the photos I edited a few years ago. My skills have improved significantly since then (probably due to both practice and software improvements).
The old images were adequate, but a little work made them better. Even I'm not too old to learn.
And keep your programs up to date.
Much of the time I can't remember names of people I knew or celebrities. That's pretty normal. My wife's Mom had dementia and my wife does word finder puzzles a couple of hours a day while watching TV to keep sharp. I remember someone saying once, if you can't find your car keys, that's normal. If you find them and don't what they are for, that's Alzheimers. They also say playing a musical instrument keeps your mind sharp.

Precisely why I'm learning LR and PS. Use it or lose it. Both my parents had alzheimer's.
