Canon EOS Rebel SL1 (body only), 18 MP APS-C CMOS Sensor converted to 720 nm IR by LifePixel ( http://www.lifepixel.com ). Excellent condition.
$ 350 with free continental US shipping
Over the last year, I've switched all my gear from Canon to Sony except for this camera because of its IR functionality. Now I am having one of my Sony bodies converted to IR by Lifepixel and it will complete my switch to Sony.
Examples of some of the IR images taken with this camera can be seen on my 500PX site:

Ok, so just wondering here... If I were to purchase this 'ere camera-thingie, would I need anything else to take IR photos? Do you still have to have a filter on the lens, for example?

Must admit, I'm intrigued. Tried my hand with IR film, back about mumble-mumble years ago...

I think we are all intrigued..........can you use regular canon 18-55 stock lens? or Tameron?
Do you just shoot as normal once the camera has been 'converted'?

"IR" does it work in night photography?

No, you wouldn't need anything else (except of course a Canon lens) to take IR pictures. No filters. It's a 720 nm converted IR camera.

Yes, you can use Canon or Tamron or any other lenses with Canon mount. You would shoot normally. There are excellent descriptions and information on LifePixel.com website. That's where I had learnt most about IR photography theory, photo taking and processing. I suppose you can could use it in night photography, but I haven't.

Do you have to use a tripod w/ all your shots.....? or do you just shoot 'regular'?
I was looking at some IR filters a while back but the conversion from filter to camera took some time....and they recommended always using a tripod......
Intriguing.....did I say that before?

You can shoot with a tripod if you wish. However, I've always used it handheld. There are no filters. You use it like you would a normal camera.
