Reload Elements on your new computer. If you have the registration number you can go to Adobe and load it on your new computer.

Free? You have many.

I would recommend GIMP even if it appears a bit complex at first.

I prefer to call it enhancement instead of correction.

I have Elements 12 on my laptop. When I got a new desktop PC I recovered my registration number from Adobe and installed it on the second computer. No problem, no charge.

While this might be a slight digression, sometimes the software that comes with your particular computer might be the best. I just bought a Dell 3000 to replace my dying HP. Check out this shot from Christmas Eve taken with a Nikon s9700 travel zoom P&S. Not professional but the included software made it look darn good

I suspect they were beautiful before you tinkered with them.

are you talking about the photo or the lady in the miniskirt? The original photo was pretty good, considering it was taken with a small sensor point and shoot. However, the colors were a bit oversaturated, the baby's face was a bit overexposed while the background was underexposed. The software included with the Dell 3000 computer took care of the blown and highlights and shadows, muted the colors to a more natural level, along with the white balance. Had I known this topic was going to come up, I would have posted both before and after versions of this picture

I amazes me how little mention there is here on the Hog of my favorite, Zoner Photo Studio, latest version 18. It is relatively inexpensive and is available with a 30 day free trial (but in my experience, they will extend the trial period) It has a very complete set of capabilities, is relatively easy to learn, and has absolutely terrific support.

I recommend downloading and trying this excellent software. You have nothing to loose!

I would suggest you investigate buying Lightroom. You might like it very much. I do.

The best one is the one you like and understand and it works on your computer.

Try a few. Pick the one you like best.
