Holy smokes! Anyone thinking about buying a Sony A6000 but put it off, is out of luck. Best Buy just hiked their price for the A6000 with the 2 kit lens by $200.00. It is now $899.00!! Don't know what's going on, whether the lower price was just for the holidays or Sony saw how popular the camera has become and decided to cash in on it, or what. I was thinking about getting one, but to put it off for awhile. I may have to rethink that one.

If B&H or any of the others follow suit on the price hike, a trend might well be emerging. On the other hand, I note the deal was with two lenses.

Wait until they come out with the replacement. The price will drop again

I'm hoping that's the case.

B&H today, with 2 kit lenses, is $1049. Generally, manufacturers set the price. While they cannot tell distributors what to sell for, if a retailer undercuts the "suggested" price, they have a lot of difficulty obtaining product. If you fine it much cheaper, it may be grey market.

BB wants $899.00 for the A6000 with the 2 lenses. I just checked B&H, and they want $1046.00 for the same package! Hmmm--I suspect something's going on with Sony.

I believe Costco has it with 2 lenses for $850. I bought it there a few months ago and have not used my D800 since. What a great camera for the price.

When I bought my a6000 almost exactly a year ago, the kit retail was $799.99 to which I got $100 off. The 55 - 210 mm zoom cost $149.99 which was $100 off. So the combination would be $1050 less 2 cents. So the todays prices are like the retails a year ago. So Sony isn't pulling an enrichment scheme, I guess.

In fact the BB $900 looks to be a good deal at the two lens level, only $50 more than I paid a year ago.

The B&H $1046 price is $698 for a6000 + kit lens and $348 for the 55 - 210 zoom lens. If you wait the prices will come down on the lens.

This was special holiday pricing. It was advertised to end around 1/1/16. Sony had the same deals advertised. This is just a return to the "regular" price.

I bought my SonyA6000 in the summer of 2015. I got the body, two lens, camera bag and an 8gb SanDisk card for $800 from B&H. Looks like I got a good deal.
