Windows 10 question

Hi all. I've seen a number of posts here about Windows 10, including one that mentioned being careful if you use Windows Professional, but didn't state why. I have the "your computer is compatible with Win 10...install now." message. My present software is Windows 7 Professional. Might I have a problem? Thanks for any guidance.

I have loaded Win 10 on two desk tops and one Laptop.
It's the best OS since Win XP.
All software and hardware works great.
I have been using Win 10 for around eight months now.
Would not go back to Win 7 or Win XP.
It's the best OS since Win XP.

I had a Windows 7 home desktop, a windows 8 home desktop, a Windows 8 home laptop, a Windows 7 32 bit netbook, a windows 8 tablet and a Windows 8 professional laptop. All have been upgraded to Windows 10. No issues with the upgrade and no issues with any computers since.

I was very trepidacious about upgrading from win 7 pro. I held off until just 2 weeks ago. Not a single problem! I was astounded, I was getting ready to pull out all my remaining hair!

I have it one machine, but there's a problem with the other one. I haven't had any problems with it. I wish I could use it on both computers.
It's not uncommon for backup files to get put into an unnamed, hidden Windows folder. When that happens, you can't update Windows or install a new version. I spent about two months, every day, trying different things suggested by the MS help guy. I think the only solution is to format and start from scratch, something I don't plan to do.

The 2 laptops were 7 pro- I had no issues.

Jerry, Exactly what computer do you have. I have been holding off on downloading 10 because I don't have time to monkey around with probems. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad, 3 years old and am wondering if that was one you had trouble with. Thanks!

The only problem I ever had with Win 10 was getting it registered after a successful installation. The installation keys weren't being recognized.
I installed it on my Gateway desktop and an HP laptop.
My Gateway died (I think it was the Motherboard) and I took the old hard drive and put it in a new Dell. It worked right off the bat. Still had a registration problem but I called Mixrosoft and all I had to do was reinstall Win 10 Pro and enter my Win 7 Pro Key.
My internet seems to be faster but that could be the newer computer.

Went from Win 7 pro to Win 10 pro. First day, no internet connection...next morning, all was well. Suspect they sent the update during the night. No problems since June.
